Who conducts the consultation?

All consultations are with Dr Ken Brito, an AHPRA-registered medical practitioner. You’ll receive:

  • Assessment of your concerns, goals and medical history
  • Clear information on options, risks and limitations
  • Time for your questions

A consultation does not guarantee that a procedure is suitable for you.

Fixed fee of $150 AUD (incl. GST) per appointment type, payable at booking.

Cancellation: 72 hours’ notice required. Late cancellations or missed appointments may forfeit the fee, incur part of it, or be rebooked, depending on circumstances. If Dr Ken cancels, you will be refunded in full or rebooked.

All consultations are in person at our clinic. Covers the consultation only. Any treatment is quoted separately in writing. Whether the fee is credited toward surgery depends on your consultation and is confirmed in writing.

Before you book

Preparing

  • Arrive 10 minutes early to complete any outstanding paperwork.
  • For cosmetic surgery, bring your GP referral to your first consultation, or email it beforehand to info@drkenbrito.com.au.
  • Have ready your photo ID, medication and supplement list (including any hormones or steroids), medical history and allergies.
  • You are welcome to bring a support person.
  • Yes, for cosmetic surgery. Please bring your referral to your first consultation, or email it beforehand to info@drkenbrito.com.au.
  • Please ask your GP to word the referral as "cosmetic procedure" or "assessment for cosmetic procedure".
  • Your referring doctor must be a GP or specialist who is independent of Dr Ken and does not provide cosmetic surgery or cosmetic procedures themselves. Your usual GP is preferred.
  • Cosmetic surgery is not covered by Medicare.

Clinical photos may be taken for your medical record, only with your written consent.

Surgery

  • Cosmetic surgery requires two consultations, including at least one in person with Dr Ken.
  • Dr Ken will discuss your reasons and expectations, assess whether surgery is suitable for you, and talk through your other options, including not having surgery. This includes screening questions about how you feel about your appearance.
  • Consent forms are not requested at your first consultation.
  • A cooling-off period of at least seven days applies after your second consultation and consent, before any surgery is booked or deposit paid.
  • You will receive a written quote that sets out total costs, deposits, payment dates and refund of deposits.

Cosmetic surgery is for patients aged 18 and over.

Your personal and health information is collected to provide care and manage your booking, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 and our Privacy Policy.
